[Music: Queen - The Show Must Go On]

I had a nice little rant prepared for Wednesday. I looked it over, and realized how much I was RAMBLING. Mrs. Schirmer, my previous Language Arts teacher, actually put on EVERY PAPER I WROTE how I was rambling on. I reread those papers, and come to a conclusion about her: She was absolutely right. I was mainly rambling on about my parents in the rant i made, then tried to change the subject. Hoo boy.... It's still saved on my laptop, but I'm not going to post it or anything. I do tend to ramble when I have to follow a format for writing something. Sla...

Anyways, all went well this week. Wednesday was the best gym period ever, period. We started out by playing "Capture the fag," as Mr Meador slipped his tongue. But Capture The Flag is indeed a kick ass game, one of the few games I enjoy playing in real life. And we even played again on Friday. Yayness!
Also on Friday, Mr. Larmore usually has a sub (Mrs. Smith, the assistant orchestra teacher) because for 7th hour he needs to teach over at the high school. Well, Mrs. Smith's sub was musically declined, so she allowed the students to be the conductors. It was freakin' hilarious. Even Neil (yeah, the serious about orchestra kid) was laughing his head off (which in most cases, he only gives a smirk or a grin to something amusing). Becca started out by tuning us, then by playing Allegro followed by Sea Chantey. Then Lauren came up and we played Sea Chantey. For the last ten minutes of class, all out humor ensued. Steven Tung was the conductor, which he tried to act most like Mr. Larmore. First he started by yelling at the basses for being immature. Then he continued by playing Allegro twice. Hoo boy.... Allegro is the 'boring' song that we are playing. The First Violins have a solo for the first for measures, then the second violins join them for 4 measures, then everyone else plays. Well, 1st time through, the 1st violins started by playing Pink Panther instead of Allegro, at which Steven yelled at them for wasting time. Then when they straightened up, around the 8th measure, the Cello's, Basses, and Violas (That's me) come in, the Cello's started by playing Sea Chantey. Around taht time, Steven was trying to get the class organized, when we see Mr. Larmore coming through the door. I don't know if he meant to be in a SuperMan pose, but either way, he saved the day by making us play Allegro once, then leaving. I still find it hilarious when Steven said "We're staying after." meaning we're staying after class... That was so hilarious.

At home, I played Final Fantasy X until my Fish Dance at Lafayette. When I got their, the first 10 songs were rap. Yes, the kind with the "Silent C", not the good old school rap (like Beastie Boys). Around 8, people started intorducing themselves to me. About 2 main girls did. Chelsey... and someone else (I'm sorry, I forget your name entirely...). I hung around with them for a bit. I also took some pictures of the whole thing. Chelsey kept on calling me Camera boy, and pulling me back into the dance. I somehow managed to sit... err, dance through Pink, Bootylicious, and various other crap. Ah well. I had a good time and made some friends. Luckily, the majority of students are Marquette goers, which gives me a chance to rebuild my reputation. Huzzah-ness for me!

I'll see if I can upload those pictures to my web storage and show em' here. Chelsey asked if she couldn't have her face on the net. Well, thanks to Photoshop, I can... either delete or face in all pictures they are in, or cover it up.

Well, that's all for today. I feel VIPED... I dunno what that word is, but it sounded cool. Anyways, I'm done.

[edit: I found a nice quote of the day...

"All OD2 has is a lot of water and two peninsulae for a state, and he's getting more news than me. Damn, Jersey sucks." - PPM. His Blog and comic are in the side bar. He was complaining about how he lives in a state with barely anything ineresting.]

May 3, 2002

Well, today's Friday. It's been an interesting week (more on that later).

There's a Fish dance thing at Lafayette (my high school i'm going to) tonite...

And someone sent me an e-mail regarding the scientific explanation as to why that drunk driver had lived in the car accident...

Hello there.
Recently browsed your blog on a link from the author of a webcomic I read. Saw the comment about the drunk driver. Very sad, but there is a scientific explaination for it. It's called impulse (ask a science teacher for a full explaination). Basically, the longer you are in contact with a blow, the less force it will actually press onto you. Therefore, with him being drunk, he wouldn't tighen his body at the onset of the crash. His body would remain limp throughout the crash and lessen the forces acting on his body. That would be why drunk drivers frequently are less damaged from crashes than the other people. They're relaxed. Well, this is just a comment in case no one else has said anything yet. Later.

I thought I should put ity up, which I did. I kind of figured it had to do with how being drunk makes you more relaxed and all. Something like "Being too stupid to realize you're hurt" or something along those lines. I was partially right. Thank for the explanation Joe.

Anyways, I'll post some tidbits about my week later on.
